The KVS Pub Beer Run Overview:
Penticton, BC, June 2nd, 2018
It is important to highlight that the net proceeds of this event are donated to the Youth Outdoor Recreation Society. (Y.O.R.S) provides affordable programs for mainstream and at-risk youth to participate in outdoor recreation, education and leadership activities.
Community Support is very important to our company. We believe strongly that giving back creates more opportunity and success for everyone. What better start than exposing our kids to all the adventures of the valley?! There is no better classroom than the great outdoors!
Start and Finish
Shuttle buses will pick up from the SOEC starting at 9:30am. Participants will be given their shuttle departure time when registration closes May 28th.
This is a beautiful, gentle 10 km course showing off some of the best vistas in the South Okanagan. The flat or gentle downhill route is easily managed by running or walking.
The start line is right inside a genuine Hops Farm, from there scenery just gets better as you come along the Kettle Valley Railway and clay banks above the lake and into Penticton’s downtown. After a few brewery samples and a couple food/water pit stops you’ll travel along the waterfront, past the historic paddle wheeler and down the channel waterway. A couple blocks off the channel runners will visit the last brewery and cross the finish line to celebrate with everyone in the garden patio of the Kettle Valley Station Pub located at the Penticton Ramada Inn and Courtyard. The finish line is located right across the street from the morning shuttle pick up location.
