With terrain and views that stand above the rest, the Elevator is the only race of it’s kind! Participants paddle, road bike, run/snowshoe, mountain bike, Nordic ski, hike and downhill ski/board from valley floor to mountain top!
A range of categories provides an opportunity for both competitive athletes as well as fun loving thrill seekers to compete in another one of our arse kick’n events!

(Y.O.R.S) provides affordable programs for mainstream and at-risk youth in the Okanagan to participate in outdoor recreation, education and leadership activities. Community Support is very important to our company, we believe strongly that giving back to the community creates more opportunity and success for everyone, and where better to start then by exposing our kids to all the things we cherish about this valley. There is no better classroom than the great outdoors.

We will host a pre-race meeting on Friday, March 24th at 7pm at Hoodoo Adventure Company, 131 Ellis Street, if it is your first time doing the race, it is recommended that you, or a representative of your team, attend.
Check in will take place both Friday evening and Saturday morning.
The race starts at 8:30am at the SS Sicamous on Okanagan Lake. Your race is officially finished once you or your team member crosses the finish line past the gates of the downhill ski being handed an Elevator beverage compliments of Tree Brewery!

Kayak Rental Rates
Pre-race practice rentals available. Boats delivered to start line on race day.
Please contact us if you require other equipment rentals. We can help you organize snowshoe, mountain bike or road bike rentals. Nordic ski rentals are available at the Nordic Center and downhill skis or snowboards at Apex Resort. These all may be great options for those athletes that are traveling to do the race!
You must download and sign the Hoodoo Racing Waiver and bring it to check in at the pre-race meeting at Hoodoo Adventures.

You will not receive your race pack or number without a signed waiver.
All Alpine stage competitors are required to complete an Apex Mountain Resort Waiver. This can be signed at the race briefing check in or at transition. They are not available online.
Categories and Rules:
• Solo Women, Men and Juniors (18 – 19 years of age)
• Open Women and Men Teams
• Open Mixed: teams of 5 to 7 must consist of at least 2 females.
• Recreational: Any recreational teams placing top 3 will automatically by be transferred to an open category.
• Corporate: employees or relatives of employees must compete in at least 4 stages of the race
• Masters: All members must be 40 years of age or over as of race day
• Junior: All members must be over 13 and under 19 years of age. Teams must consist of no fewer than 4 members, with no member competing in more than 2 stages of the race. Juniors aged 18-19 may compete as a solo or in teams of 2 or 3.
Entering under a category is now mandatory. Prizes will be given for each category.
Facts and Rules:
Solo participants must provide their own support crews at each transition to look after the participants equipment. Volunteers will NOT be responsible for storing or handling equipment either before, or after each leg of the race
A special area will be designated at each transition zone for solo participants, and must be used by the solo participants.
If you are an orphan (looking for a team to join), or need an orphan (extra person to complete your team), please contact us. We always have athletes ready to join teams!
Accommodation and race entry packages are available with the Penticton Ramada.
Race and Stay for as little as $75/person!! If you get in on Early Bird Pricing, participants can register for the race and get their shared accommodation for as little as $75 each!!
Special room rates are available for March 24 & 25, 2017 at the Penticton Ramada. Watch this space for more detail.
