KVR Heritage Tour
 This guided tour of the historic KVR trail comes complete with a cultural, heritage and ecology overview of the area.  From the flora and fauna to the building of the railway, you are sure to finish your day with a good knowledge of how Penticton came to be. Bring your camera, the views are fantastic!

 Cruise through the historic Myra canyon, learn about the tressels and the history of the KVR trail.  Participants must have bikes checked pre-trip, bike rentals are available.  Shuttle takes aprox. 1.5 hours, cycle aprox. 8hours

Green Level Cross Country Guided This cross county ride is ideal for beginners and/or families.  Great for the family that doesn't want to follow dad up the technical terrain, still wants to get out and spin their legs but isn't too sure where to go.  Or... for someone just starting the sport and feels more comfortable going out with an experienced and qualified rider.  This ride lasts aprox. 3 hours.  Bike rentals available.

Blue Level Cross Country Guided This ride is more suitable to the intermediate rider looking for a little more of a challenge or an introduction to the world renowned mountain biking the valley has to offer.  With hundreds of trails at our fingertips, we can chose on the day, depending on what you're looking for.  This ride lasts aprox. 3hours.  Participants must be 16yrs+, bike rentals available. Available upon request

Ladies Night

Intro to Mountain Biking
Join our wonderful mountain bike instructor Jules in this super fun opportunity to get that bike out and really find your true mountain bike potential.  These evenings are designed to build skill and confidence while getting outside and riding some local trails.  With an intro to all aspects of trail riding, both uphill and downhill you will get the opportunity to try out some great introductory terrain.Tuesday evenings

Beginner  Mountain Biking

Full Day

 

 

Overview:  To ensure students have a thorough understanding of how to safely and responsibly use mountain biking as a means of discovering the outdoors

  • An introduction to risk management in mountain biking, trail safety, etc. 
  • A bike inspection to ensure safety of equipment
  • An easy ride to assess skill level
  • Intro to parts of the bike, basic safety of equipment (E.g. chains breaking, tires blowing)
  • What equipment to carry on day rides (E.g. Tools, rain gear, food/supplements, water, etc.)
  • Basic handling skills covered on a stop/start ride (E.g. safe breaking, principles of balance, safe cornering, preserving energy and avoiding fatigue, etc.)
  • Environmental Care Code and ecology awareness
  • Ride in afternoon using new techniques

Intermediate Mountain Biking

Full Day

 Overview:  For those who have some experience cycling but are looking at getting more into the sport and potentially doing some overnight cycle touring

  • Start to explore the local trails of the area, navigate more technical terrain both ascending and descending single track
  • Advance and grow more confident on the trail
  • Cover basic technical skills over small obstacles (ride over a log, down a stair, etc.)
  • A nice long ride using new skills, to finish the day
