Hoodoo Adventures is taking several actions to protect the health and well-being of our customers, staff and community and to control the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in accordance with the expert guidance of the CDC and local public health authorities.

Your experience may look different at Hoodoos as we navigate this dynamic situation in each of our 5 departments (climbing gym, youth programs, adventure programs, team building and events). Our commitment to you is that we will continue to make proactive decisions that are grounded in transparency and science – for our partners and the people we serve.

Hoodoo Adventures is taking several actions to protect the health and well-being of our customers, staff and community and to control the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in accordance with the expert guidance of the CDC and local public health authorities.

Your experience may look different at Hoodoos as we navigate this dynamic situation in each of our 5 departments (climbing gym, youth programs, adventure programs, team building and events). Our commitment to you is that we will continue to make proactive decisions that are grounded in transparency and science – for our partners and the people we serve. 

  • Enhanced cleaning measures: We are committed to caring for the health and well-being of our community, staff and customers and playing a constructive role in supporting local health officials and government leaders. The company continues to observe elevated cleaning and sanitizing protocols that meet or exceed public health guidelines and can help to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Our team is trained in frequent cleaning protocols to ensure the well-being of our community, cleaning high touch surface areas as frequently.
  • Additional precautions: Prior to beginning every shift, our team will complete a pre-check, to ensure they themselves are ready and able to work. It is mandatory that our team continue to frequently wash their hands. They also have the option to wear gloves and a mask which is provided for them.
  • Safety Protocols: We respectfully request customers follow social distancing and safety protocols recommended by public health officials. As we continue to ensure the health and well-being of our partners and customers, we have temporarily closed our restrooms to the public in stores where the café or café seating is unavailable, with exceptions made for uniformed emergency responders and those covered by Ally’s law.
  • Individual Departments/Activities: Each of our departments and activities requires individual care and protocols that may differ to the next. Our Team

Hoodoo Adventures is offering full support to our team members/staff.  We have all been impacted by COVID-19, and we have done everything we can to support our team through this difficult time, both at the workplace and at home during our lockdown and closure.  At Hoodoo Adventures, our team is our family and their well being is of top priority.

Our Community

We are dedicated to our local Okanagan communities and we want to help.  We have created a quick survey to see how we can best serve our community with our resources, skills and knowledge as we all navigate these difficult times.

  • Thanking front-line responders: As a way to say thank you to our front-line workers, we are offering our customers to nominate an adventurer! For each adventure booked for 4 people, 2 front line workers can join at no charge. We appreciate all that you have done for us. It is time to pay it forward.
  • Fundraising: With the global coronavirus pandemic causing record unemployment, an unstable economy and food insecurity skyrocketing everywhere, Hoodoo Adventures is focused on giving back. We are developing new and creative programs that will raise money for local charities and those in need. We are ensuring that all our services align with the needs of the community and that we are here for you. Nominated adventures may also be used to give to someone who just deserves a break. If you know someone that has struggled through this difficult time, please, bring them on your adventure! It has never been so important to get back to nature, to reconnect and create new memories. We understand the hardships we have all faced and want to ensure that we are sharing the tools we have to re-build into the future with you.
