Covid – 19 Update January 31, 2022

Hoodoo Adventures is committed to caring for the health and well-being of our community, our team and customers and playing a constructive role in supporting local health officials and government leaders. Read about the latest decisions being made by the company and the actions being taken in preparation for re-opening.

Hoodoo Adventures is taking several actions to protect the health and well-being of our customers, staff, and community and to control the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in accordance with the expert guidance of the CDC and local public health authorities.

Your experience may look different at Hoodoos as we navigate this dynamic situation in each of our 5 departments (climbing wall, youth programs, adventure programs, team building, and events). Our commitment to you is that we will continue to make proactive decisions that are grounded in transparency and science – for our partners and the people we serve.

Our Team

Hoodoo Adventures is offering full support to our team members/staff.  We have all been impacted by COVID-19, and we have done everything we can to support our team through this difficult time, both at the workplace and at home during our lockdown and closure.  At Hoodoo Adventures, our team is our family and their well-being is of top priority.

Our Community

We are dedicated to our local Okanagan communities and we want to help.  Please let us know how we can best serve our community with our resources, skills, and knowledge as we all navigate these difficult times.

Climbing Wall

Our climbing wall is running at 50% capacity so please book your climb in advance to ensure there is a spot available for your bouldering session. if you are unsure of how to book online give us a call in the office!

We have been working with the Association of BC Climbing Wall Owners (ABCGO) to ensure that we are following all Health and Safety Policies.

COVID 19 Climbing Wall Guidelines – Can be found here

Understanding that climbing involves touching of climbing holds within the climbing space, climbing walls have unique challenges as the wall/holds, cannot be cleaned between each use (it is unfortunately impossible).

Risk management is a top priority in the business of indoor climbing though the risks of Covid-19 are fundamentally different from the inherent risk of climbing. In addition to your safety, the experience our climbers and community have when they visit us is extremely important to us. We are actively working on the best ways to achieve the best of both.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, our climbing wall operation has changed. All participants must follow safety protocols for proper social distancing and sanitizing procedures.

Youth Programs

Social distancing is challenging in a youth setting. At the same time, it is extremely important, and we will do everything we can to try to assist children.

Adventure Programs, Rentals, & Events

Due to the current Covid-19, to ensure sustainability as we get through these challenging times, we are more limited on certain resources than usual, as we work diligently to ensure the safety of our community. But we always want to help, so please reach out any time if you can’t find an online booking option that works for you. Feel free to contact us any time and we will do our best to get you out adventuring!
