Throughout the year we run and support many community events. From fun runs to adventure races to film festivals, and the best part… they all give back!
Established in 2007, we have proudly supported the youth in our community through our outdoor recreation programming aimed at getting kids active outdoors.
Hoodoo Adventures believes everyone deserves to experience the transformative power of nature.
Our initiatives have enabled local kids to spend more than 350,000 combined hours outdoors. Furthermore, our economic impact on the region through our sport tourism efforts has been analyzed in the millions of dollars each year.

Expedition Canada - Adventure Racing World Championships 2025
Sept. 22 - Oct. 6, 2025
Hoodoo Adventures and Expedition Canada are hosting the Adventure Racing World Champs 2025!! AR involves trekking, mountain biking, paddling, orienteering, and rope skills. Teams of 4 must navigate their way, unsupported, around the clock, through an arduous 700+km course that is only revealed to them hours before the start. We are so excited to showcase our Province to the World!
Penticton Beer Run
Covering 11 breweries and local eateries, this 6 or 10K walk/run will be a stunner!
Starting at our newest brewery, Abandoned Railway, participants will thoroughly enjoy this year’s scenic route cruising down the KVR trail as they sample their way through Penticton.
Tastings from Barley Mill, Cannery, Tin Whistle, Yellowdog, Neighbourhood, Slackwater, Highway 97, Firehall, Detonate, Giant’s Head, and Abandoned Railway, plus several eateries are included.
This event is a must-do of the year!

Peak Challenge
Apex Mountain - Next Race - 2026
This race will not take place in 2025 as we will be busy hosting the Adventure Racing World Championships. We’ll see you again in 2026!!
This trail running race covers either 1 or 3 stunning peaks of beautiful Apex Mountain.
The one peak course covers approximately 11.5kms of trail with 622 meters of elevation gain.
The 3 peaks cover 31.5kms and over 1000 meters of elevation gain!
From village to dirt road, single track to lakes, ridges and amazing mountain views, this event has it all.
New in 2024, Kids Peak!! All proceeds go to local youth outdoor programming because cost should not be a barrier to the wilderness.
