Welcome to our climbing gym! We have over 2,000 square feet of climbing for you to enjoy. Our passionate and qualified staff can get you involved. Please click on the drop down boxes below for detailed information on our facility.

Winter Hours: (October 15 – April 1)

Groups welcome: Please inquire here for group climbing sessions outside of these hours.

Please note that all participants under 19 must have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian in order to climb. No exceptions!

We offer lots of options for climbers at Hoodoo’s climbing gym from beginner to intermediate! If you’re not quite sure how to get involved, we can give you a place to start:

  • Courses: We offer an intro to indoor climbing course for true newbies, family introduction courses, and a belay refresher course for those who just need to brush up some old skills.
  • Bouldering: Hoodoo has  15-foot high bouldering walls for your solo climbing endeavors. No ropes and no special skills required!
  • Ropes: We can offer top-rope only climbs for those looking to partner up with a friend or climb with their kids. Ask us to put them up for you. If you would like to learn how to use the ropes, please contact us about our indoor intro to climbing course. Private belay services with our trained staff available with 48 hours notice.

All climbers must sign our waiverno exceptions.
Children under 12 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while dropping into the gym.

Looking for something fun and a little different for your next birthday party? Hoodoo Adventures offers climbing parties, access to our event space, and fun add on activities like air archery!

All birthday parties include 1 Hoodoo belay-team member for every 7 children, up to 21 kids.

Birthday parties are two hours long; first hour in the climbing gym and second hour in our event space.


Deposit $50 (plus GST) due upon booking.    |    $12 / child, minimum $80 charge if 6 kids or fewer.

Time slots:

Weekday Evenings: 4pm or 6:30pm

Weekends All Day: 10am, 12:30pm, 3pm, 5:30pm.

All birthday parties must be booked at least 72 hours in advance, and are subject to availability of the time slots.

All gym based programs require the following forms to be completed. They only need to be completed once and will be kept securely on record for future programs. Additional paperwork is required for kids enrolling in full day or overnight programming.

Rock climbing is a great way for kids to learn how to conquer fears, problem solve, develop strength, coordination, confidence, and support one another! Anyone can find some measure of success in rock climbing no matter what his or her physical ability is.

2 hour climbing program: We will pick your class up and bring you to the climbing gym for a 1.5 hour climbing session (2 hours including shuttling) covering climbing technique, safety, equipment, rope work and fun games with passionate leaders!

$16/student – including transport (up to 27 passengers)

1 hour bouldering session: It’s climbing time! Kids will be shown some basic climbing technique and will then be free to climb whatever they want in our climbing gym. Bouldering doesn’t involve rope work so if your timeline is tight this is a great option as the kids will get more climbing and less talking!


8 punch pass: Start a climbing program and get them in our gym more than once! You can book the dates that you want in advance. The dates can be spread throughout the whole school year. The kids will be shown different climbing techniques and we will get on the mats and coach them throughout the 8 sessions so they can improve their skills. 1.5 hour long sessions.

$85/student for 8 sessions

Intro to Climb: Topics include: safety, equipment, belaying, communication and commands, climbing techniques, knot tying and more. We can do one session or if you want to go into more depths and get their skills to the next level we can do two sessions on two different days. These sessions are 2.5 hours long, with about 2 hours of instructions. For bigger groups we split them and rotate between learning stations. And we of course make sure that they get some climbing done as well!

$15/student/session – can be followed by an outing at the Skaha Bluffs (ask us about pricing for this).

***All equipment (climbing shoes, harnesses, climbing equipment) is included in the prices. These prices are based on a minimum of 10 participants. If you have less than 10 then a minimum a charge will apply for the activity. These activities are available inside and outside of our regular opening hours. Just name the date and time that you would like and we’ll try our best to make it happen!

Gym Rules

  • Absolutely NO FOOD OR DRINKS in the climbing area.
  • Help clear the air – no loose chalk, please.
  • No horseplay (running, jumping, skipping, rope pulling, etc.)
  • Kids under age 12 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
  • Only climbing shoes and sock feet in the climbing area: No street shoes! No bare feet anywhere in the facility, please.
  • Climb only on dedicated terrain.
  • Report any broken or loose holds to staff.
  • No rings or jewelry – long hair should be tied back.
  • For your safety, be aware of other climbers.
  • Please be courteous and respectful of other climbers.
  • No climbing under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • All users must pass a belay test in order to use the ropes.

Any and all participants at the climbing gym must sign a waiver.  If you are under the age of 18 you must have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian (with legal responsibility for that minor).
If you do not have a waiver you cannot participate.
